We wanted to close this school year with a big Art Exposition. The English Department, with the families, pupils and local government organized it with pupils’ artworks. We end the school year 2016-2017 finishing Mark Rothko project. Pupils painted a canvas using two sessions of Art and imitating the author style.
We start the last project of the Art subject from 2016-2017. It is about the author Mark Rothko. In our first artwork pupils studied his works and then they made a little reproduction using wax crayons.
We have finished the colour project taking on the challenge “25 Colour Challenge”. With only the primary colours, black and white pupils had to obtain 25 colours. It was so funny.
In the second work about colour we learnt to obtain Secondary and Tertiary Colours mixing Primary Colours.
We start third term working on a colour project. In our first session we learnt the concepts of Brightness and Darkness of one colour and we painted a gradient adding black and white to primary colours. It had been very interesting.
We have finished the Recycling Project in a very easy way. We reused felt-tips and we created our liquid watercolours. Then we have painted with them and using our imagination and new felt-tips we finished our works.
We continue working on the Recycling project with the second activity. Pupils made a little campaign of raising- awareness about caring for the environment and they made posters to spread around Ròtova, Alfauir, Villalonga and Castellonet.
Pupils have visited the exposition “Enjoying Alfredo Artés” organized by the city council of Ròtova. Afterwards, children wanted to pay tribute to the artist painting some of their artworks. We hope you like our interpretations.

We try our students and families to become aware of the great amount of waste we dump in nature and how it damages the environment.
